Information updated: 2026-10-2

Jeddah Corniche Circuit follows Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast and is a street circuit known for fast, linked corners. It has 27 turns, many unlike conventional slow street-circuit bends. The combination of barriers and high speed makes visibility, reactions and car stability crucial.

Circuit history

Jeddah first hosted the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in 2021, with racing under floodlights. The Tilke team and F1 were jointly involved in designing the course to provide a fast, continuous driving rhythm. In 2025, Piastri took his third win of the season here and led that season’s drivers’ championship for the first time.

Low drag helps in battles on the long straights, but repeated fast direction changes still require sufficient downforce. Drivers must process the relationship between the car ahead, the barriers and the braking points in very little time. Lines through the first corner can provoke track-limits disputes, while a safety car brings a previously spread-out field back together.
