Verstappen drives the No. 3 Red Bull in Singapore qualifying on October 10, 2026.

Qualifying for the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix, round seventeen of the season, concluded at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on the evening of October 10. Max Verstappen took pole with a 1:31.373, beating Charles Leclerc by 0.054 seconds, with Lewis Hamilton third. After topping Sprint Qualifying on Friday and winning the Sprint on Saturday, Verstappen also secured pole for the Grand Prix.

Verstappen set his pole time on his first timed run in Q3, the final stage of qualifying. Hamilton was initially second, 0.123 seconds behind, with Kimi Antonelli third at 0.189 seconds. Leclerc improved on his final attempt to move into second, but could not beat Verstappen. Hamilton did not improve and finished behind his teammate.

Antonelli was fourth, Norris fifth and Russell sixth; Piastri, Gasly, Lawson and Lindblad followed seventh through tenth.

Hamilton leads Q2, the other Red Bull exits Q1

Hamilton topped Q1 and Q2, the latter in 1:31.529.

Hadjar with Red Bull staff in the garage during Singapore qualifying on October 10, 2026.

Hadjar reported power interruption and gear issues in Q1 without a valid lap. Red Bull confirmed a qualifying gearbox fault distinct from his Sprint power-unit retirement.

Alonso, Albon, Stroll, Pérez and Bottas also left in Q1. Hülkenberg, Bearman, Ocon, Sainz, Bortoleto and Colapinto were the six Q2 eliminations.

No Hülkenberg penalty, Russell provisionally starts 21st

Russell qualified sixth but received a 40-place grid penalty for changing power-unit components. The FIA's October 11 provisional grid listed him 21st and Hadjar 22nd. Stewards found Hülkenberg unnecessarily impeded Sainz at Turn 5, but official timing-provider data briefly desynchronized and misled Audi into thinking Sainz had finished his timed lap. Exceptional mitigation led to no penalty.

The race is scheduled for October 11 at 20:00 China Standard Time (UTC+8).
