Official NBA portrait of Denver's Julian Strawther

Denver's Julian Strawther will miss games with a sprained left knee. An Associated Press report published on NBA.com on October 17 said he was injured in an away preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Denver said on October 16, local time, that he would be reassessed in six weeks.

Six weeks is the next evaluation point, not a definite return date. Availability then still depends on recovery.

The report said Strawther was expected to come off the bench this season. Last year he played 57 games, averaged 7.2 points and made two playoff appearances. Denver must begin the season without a planned reserve.

The 24-year-old Gonzaga product entered the NBA as the 29th pick in 2023 and has eighteen career starts.
