WNT announced on October 18 that the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and Matchroom Pool had signed a memorandum of understanding to bring the 2027 World Pool Championship to Bahrain. The announcement places it within a multiyear partnership, with the Bahrain Billiards and Darts Federation also involved.
The event is planned for April 5–10, 2027, at Exhibition World Bahrain, with 128 places and a $1 million total prize fund. The million dollars is the tournament pool, not the winner's individual prize.
