Formula E confirmed on October 22 that Dan Ticktum will join Fortescue Zero for the 2026/27 season alongside Taylor Barnard in an all-British lineup. The 27-year-old's next destination is settled, with both drivers already Formula E race winners.

Ticktum entered Formula E in 2021/22 and had remained within the same team structure through its names NIO 333, ERT and CUPRA KIRO. This move takes him to a new team in the championship's first season using fourth-generation GEN4 cars.

His two current victories came through different closing circumstances. In Jakarta in 2025, he took the lead and won after Jake Dennis and Nyck de Vries collided late. In Tokyo in 2026, he passed Dennis, who briefly lost power, at Turn 16 on the last lap for another win. New teammate Barnard won the 2026 season finale in London.

The official new calendar lists 21 races, opening in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on December 18 with another race the following day. With the lineup confirmed, their next shared task is preparing for the new car and season. Previous wins provide racing experience, while testing and competition must establish Fortescue Zero's actual GEN4 competitiveness.
